as part of an ongoing initiative at donni. towards environmentally conscious garment production, we are excited to release select eco-friendly fabrics with each new collection. our hope is to continue increasing our offering of eco-friendly fabrics each season.
our eco-friendly fabrics include eco-fleece, a recycled cotton blend, butter, made from sustainable tencel, twill, also made from tencel, and recycled jersey, made from a recycled cotton. all eco-friendly products on our site are tagged with a "sustainable" icon.
we feel strongly about making a positive impact on the planet in any way we can. we know the fashion industry is a damaging one globally and take every measure we can to offset this impact—since april of 2021, we've planted a tree for every order placed. we're also proud to offer carbon offsetting as our default shipping option for each order.
through these efforts, we're proud to have offset tens of thousands of pounds of co2. we will keep doing all we can to make a positive impact on people and planet through our business operations.
all of our hangtags are made from premium 100% recycled cardstock.our protective polybags are also made from 100% recycled materials.
we know that shopping online comes with packaging waste and do all we can to offset this by using reclaimed materials, reducing unecessary packaging, and minimizing the impact we have on our environment.
we are committed to contributing meaningfully to our local los angeles, and broader community, and giving back whenever possible.
we are intentional about keeping all of our business operations local, keeping our fabrics locally milled or sourced, and keeping each piece locally constructed. we continue to ship all of our orders out of our l.a. warehouse, and over 3/4 of our vendors — factories, cutting houses, dye houses, knitting mills, marker/graders, pattern makers, sample makers — are either women-run or women-owned.
each season we partner with a different nonprofit to donate a portion of sales. we also make sure to only partner with fair wage companies and actively seek partnerships with women-owned businesses. we genuinely want to make sure that donni. leaves this community better than we found it.
